An introduction may in fact be due. Although I have a pretty good general idea of what the intentions of this site and blog are to be, a large part of it is going to be exploratory, and change with time. I may update this, or likely, better yet, write a revised version each year I keep it running.
Power vs Flow. Fire and water, ying and yang (or yang and ying in this case). Man and woman.
Power vs flow is intended as a deep dive into areas of complex human consciousness. Ideally we’ll be exploring subjects in a few areas, much of which are of great personal interest, but hopefully delving into the unknown also.
There are two hopes I have in creating this blog and writing out my thoughts like this in public. The first of which, seemingly more obvious with the name being power vs flow, is balance. Finding an equilibrium in all aspects of my life, and being able to re-iterate, clarify, and share my experiences with the world, and eventually (maybe) give advise and hopefully guide others in spirit of moving mankind to a greater future, evolutionarily, technologically, and spiritually.
The second is more of a play on the words themselves. Power is often misconstrued as a corrupting force. Something that inherently suggests a negative connotation, and with it, all the triggers and controversy that follows. First I believe it will be important to establish a proper definition, for I find the above one lacking, mostly due to the ongoing misguided emotional pulse of the mainstream population, but also, because I believe there is potential for a lot of good, within individual constraints, that power can provide. Flow, as has been popularized by the now famed Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi’s book Flow (and who’s name I still can’t pronounce) is more like a state of being. It’s when all the good activities and hard work and ego dissolving come into alignment, and whatever creative endeavor you are pursuing goes in exactly the direction you want. This is one the main curiosities of this blog, as even though my learning continues down multiple paths, this concept, this idea still strikes a nerve in all the right places.
Therefore, in leu of the above, feel free to reach out with curiosities, with challenges and excitement, with confrontations and creations, for undoubtedly the direction will follow some semblance of a path, for now, we going wanting into the unknown.
Itís difficult to find knowledgeable people in this particular subject, however, you seem like you know what youíre talking about! Thanks
